Description	:	Robert John Trost Robert John Trost, 86, of Charleston passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, in CAMC Memorial Hospital. He was born July 25, 1919, in Ottumwa, Iowa, and was a son of the late Frederick William and Agnes Lowrie Trost. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phoebe Scherr Trost; grandson, Robert Brian Kelly; and sisters, Marion Trost Boening and Rosamund Trost Dunn. He received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Iowa State University, retired from E.I. DuPont and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Chariton Lodge 63.... Bob was an avid golfer and hunter. A loving father and grandfather who will be missed by all, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Col. Tom R. Kelly of Ashburn, Va.; the light of his life, granddaughter, Jennifer L. Kelly of Fairfax, Va.; nieces, Carolyn Halfwassen of Benton, Ore, Carolyn Griffith of Johnstown, Pa., Laurie Kramer of Clarksville, Iowa, and Debra Kaplan of Copley, Ohio; nephews, Robert John Boening of Florida and John Boening of Arizona; a special nephew, Jim Scherr of Charleston; and a godson, Robert John Boening II of California. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Koontz Scherr Cemetery, Kenna, with the Rev. Frank Mancell officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted. The funeral procession will leave Wilson Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Wilson Funeral Home, 420 Lee St. W, Charleston, is in charge of arrangements.
