Description	:	Phoebe Scherr Trost, 84, of Charleston died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at CAMC General Hospital after a short illness. She had retired from the Minority Office of the House of Delegates after working for 20 years. She was an elder and circle leader of Village Chapel Presbyterian Church, moderator of Presbyterian Women, chairman of the Senior Group and a representative on Church Women United. Mrs. Trost was past president of the Woman's Club of Charleston and of the West Virginia Federation of Republican Women and past associate chairman of the West Virginia Republican Executive Committee. She was past president of Shadowlawn Garden Club. She... Read More	Phoebe Scherr Trost, 84, of Charleston died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at CAMC General Hospital after a short illness. She had retired from the Minority Office of the House of Delegates after working for 20 years. She was an elder and circle leader of Village Chapel Presbyterian Church, moderator of Presbyterian Women, chairman of the Senior Group and a representative on Church Women United. Mrs. Trost was past president of the Woman's Club of Charleston and of the West Virginia Federation of Republican Women and past associate chairman of the West Virginia Republican Executive Committee. She was past president of Shadowlawn Garden Club. She served for several years as a Kanawha County ballot commissioner and had recently been appointed to the Kanawha Valley Senior Services board. She was a former Girl Scout leader, a former member of the YWCA board, a volunteer tour guide at the Governor's Mansion and a docent at Sunrise Museum. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Grova Scherr, and a grandson, Robert Brian Kelly. Surviving: her husband of 59 years, Robert J. Trost; daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Tom Kelly of Ashburn, Va.; the light of her life, granddaughter, Jennifer L. Kelly of Fairfax, Va.; brother, Edwin G. Scherr of Kenna; sister, Amelia Scherr of Columbus, Ohio; two nieces and one nephew. A private graveside service will be Friday, Dec. 3. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home. The family suggests contributions to the Kanawha Valley Senior Services Transportation Service, 2428 Kanawha Blvd. E., Charleston 25311.
