Description	:	Robert Junior Kelley, aka Rip, Bob, Jr., 59, of Colony died Friday December 5, 1986 at the Kansas University Medical Center In Kansas City. He retired from the Kansas Highway Department after 23 years after an accident while working. He had been on kidney dialysis the last five years of his life at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City. Read More	Robert Junior Kelley, aka Rip, Bob, Jr., 59, of Colony died Friday December 5, 1986 at the Kansas University Medical Center In Kansas City. He retired from the Kansas Highway Department after 23 years after an accident while working. He loved to buy the girls pretty dresses and taking them out to eat. He never met a person he wouldn't take up a conversation with. He love people and people loved him. He never met a stranger. His cousin Twila Kelley nicknamed him Rip after Rip Van Winkle' because he use to fall asleep in school. He was loved and liked by everyone. He like to travel, go to dances, and tinkering around in his garage. He loved life. He lived with his Uncle H. L. (Ted) Kelley for some time in his youth. He married Rosita Mae Croner and they later divorced. He was born September 30, 1927, at Iola to Virgil "Bob" LeRoy and Agnes Constable Kelley. He had lived around Colony all of his life. He was a member of the Colony Masonic Lodge and Mirza Shrine of Pittsburg. He was a loving father of a daughter Vicki Marie Long of Iola, Kansas; a son Ronald Eugene of San Diego, California. A adoring grandfather to Angela Dawn and Jennifer Marie Long of Iola. Additional survivors include two younger brothers, John Francis and Paul Eugene Kelley, both of Wichita; three younger sisters; Evelyn Tait of Chanute, Lois Ann Zoellner and Pauline Alexander both of Wichita, twelve nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and a nephew Thomas Eugene Kelley. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 1986 in Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel in Colony. Burial was in the Colony Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Memorials were to the Kidney Foundation and the American Heart Association.
