A funeral service is scheduled at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 24, 2017, at New Hope Lutheran Church, Hayti, SD, with Reverend Randy Eisenbeisz officiating. Bob was born March 3, 1936, to Selmer and Emma (Stormo) Larson at Watertown, SD. He grew up and attended school in Hayti. He graduated from Hayti High School in 1955. He then started his lifelong career in farming. He was united in marriage to Patricia Walraven, of Erwin, SD, on October 23, 1965. He was a member of the SD National Guard from 1959 to 1965. He was baptized, confirmed, and a lifelong member of New Hope Lutheran Church, in Hayti, SD. Through his work as a Legend seed dealer and SweetPro Feed salesman, he made several friends. Bob loved to farm, attend to his livestock, go to the sale barn, attend auctions, and enjoyed coffee and conversation. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow. He is survived by his wife, Pat, Hayti; three sons, Timothy, Jeff, and Gerald (Brittany), all of Hayti; one daughter, Sarah (Dennis) Gentry, Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren, Amanda, Tyler, Laura, Alyce and Carolyn, all of Hayti; two sisters, Oral Svarvari, and Elaine Corey, both of Bryant, SD; one brother-in-law, Lloyd Kuecker, Brandon, SD; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Larson, Hayti; and M'Liss (John) Fuhr, Arlington, SD; several nieces, nephews, and his faithful companion, Buddy.
