He is survived by a daughter, Judy (Bill Jr.) Van Polen; three grandchildren, Doug (Jana) Van Polen of Waukee, Jeff (Michelle) Van Polen of Albia and Lynn (Wayne) Heaton of Albia; seven great-grandchildren, Bobby, Evy, and Morgan Van Polen, Lexie and Jade Van Polen and Jay and Erin Heaton. Robert is also survived by eight siblings, Freddy (Grace) Bloodsworth, Dorothy Belzer, Mary Simmers, Betty Seibert, Albert Bloodsworth, Alberta Applegate, Russell Bloodsworth and Jane Levy. Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Wilson; and three brothers, Tom, James and Phillip Bloodsworth. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lois Williams officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Eddyville. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Friday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel. A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association.
