Bob was born May 10, 1933 at Hubbell, Nebraska, the youngest of two children to A. Clifford and Lenora M. (Gaston) Fry. He attended school at Loyalty Country School and later graduated from Hubbell High School with the class of 1950. Bob was born May 10, 1933 at Hubbell, Nebraska, the youngest of two children to A. Clifford and Lenora M. (Gaston) Fry. He attended school at Loyalty Country School and later graduated from Hubbell High School with the class of 1950. On July 22, 1956 he was united in marriage to Margaret Elizabeth Redfern and to this union four children were born: Sherrie, James, Marcie and Tricia. Margaret passed away in 1996. Bob later married Elizabeth A. Beins on May 3, 1997 in Holdrege. Bob faithfully served his country during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Germany with the United States Army. He was employed by the Nebraska State Patrol Division of Weights and Measures, he later owned and operated the Regal Steakhouse in Holdrege for 13 years. During that time, he also worked for Branson Manufacturing in Holdrege. Following his retirement, Bob worked part-time for Pony Express and did woodwork for Karla's Kreation until fully retiring in 1995. Bob was a member of the St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Holdrege. He loved to fish, camp, golf and hunt. He was hired several times to dress wild game for out-of-town hunters. He also enjoyed being active in the Holdrege American Legion, where he was the Local Commander, District 10 Commander, Area C Commander, and the Grand Chef De Gare for the 40/8 Honorary Division. Bob was active in the Holdrege Eagles and Elks clubs. During earlier times, he served with the Holdrege Jaycees. Bob was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride with friends. If there was something fun to do, Bob and the family did it. Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret; one daughter, Sherrie; and one brother, Allen Fry. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Beth; three children: Jim Fry of Holdrege, Marcie Henry of Holdrege and Tricia Logston and her husband, Chuck of Holdrege; two step-children: David Beins and his wife, Carol of Hastings, Nebraska, Bruce Beins and his wife, Yvonne of Republican City, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
