Read More	THE IMPERIAL REPUBLICAN, Imperial, Nebraska ------------- We pause today to pay our last respects to all that remains mortal of this, our fallen friend and loved one. Robert Louis Stanley, the eldest son of Earl and Edith Stanley, was born on December 23, 1917, on a farm south of Madrid, Nebr., and was called from this life at the Lewellen hospital, February 24, 1947, having reachd the age of 29 years, 2 months and 1 day. Except for four years spent in Washington State, Robert lived out his entire life in this community. He was united in marriage on June 18, 1940, to Frieda Fletcher. Two daughters came to bless this union. Vickey Deanna, who preceded her father in death, and Georgia Pauline, now nine months old. Robert was a kind, thoughtful, and loving husband and father; a good friend and helpful neighbor. Although he had been in poor health for a number of years he never complained but carried his burdens with a submissive spirit, and his untimely passing came as a great shock to the community. He leaves to mourn his passing, his devoted wife, Frieda, and baby daughter, Georgia Pauline; his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Schrader; step-mother, Mrs. Nellie Stanley; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Hankins, all of St. Francis, Kans.; two brothers, Allen of Los Angeles, Calif., and Dale of Hutchinson, Kans.; one half-sister, Darlene, and one half-brother, Darrel. His grandmother, Mrs. Mabel Grummon, also of St. Francis, Kans.; three nephews and one niece,and many other relatives and a great host of friends. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, February 27, at the Blanche Church. Rev. E. Edward Peterson of Imperial gave the sermon. Mrs. George Gaucher, Mrs. Francis Cuttler, Webb Fleming, and Omar Witt sang, accompanied by Mrs. Charles Jamison. Casket bearers were Dale Fries, John Olson, Arden Harris, Raymond Olson, Hartsel Benson and Clyde Harris. Interment was in the Blanche Cemetery with Luhrs & Reynolds service of Imperial in charge. * * * * Burial was later moved to Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial, Nebraska. (JLH)
