Description	:	Robert Lynn Colver, of Welch, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at his home, with his family at his side. He was 70 years old. Robert was born January 16, 1942 in Bend, Oregon to Robert Thompson and Johanna (Verwolf) Colver. He attended school in both Manhattan and Shepherd, Montana. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy from November of 1960 until November 1966, as a Radioman Petty Officer Third Class, and was honorably discharged from active duty to Naval Reserve. Read More	Robert Lynn Colver, of Welch, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at his home, with his family at his side. He was 70 years old. Robert was born January 16, 1942 in Bend, Oregon to Robert Thompson and Johanna (Verwolf) Colver. He attended school in both Manhattan and Shepherd, Montana. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy from November of 1960 until November 1966, as a Radioman Petty Officer Third Class, and was honorably discharged from active duty to Naval Reserve. On November 24, 2006, he married Linda J. (Gatewood) Foster at the First Christian Church in Miami, which they made their church home. Robert worked for Lockhead Martin as an Aircraft Electrician in Phoenix and in Shepherd for eleven years. He later worked as a fitter - welder for KS Wire in Neosho, Mo. for three years, before retiring. He was known for his talent as an electrician, his humor, and woodcrafting. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Opal Lorene Fenter, and one grandson, James Ridge Foster. He is survived by his wife, Linda, son, J.R. Foster and wife Danelle of Welch; daughter, Patricia Oestmann and husband Bryon of Cushing, Okla.; grandchildren, Wyatt, Hannah, Morgan, TiAnna, Samantha, Cheyanne, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Connor, and Hayden; brother, Richard Allen Colver of Paradise, Mont.; sister, Helen Arlene Colver of Phoenix, Ariz.; many other loving relatives; and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Miami. Pastor Gary Reed will officiate. J.R. Foster and Bryon Oestmann will serve as pallbearers. Interment at Welch City Cemetery, Welch, Okla. Services entrusted to Jim Thomas, Thomas Funeral Home, Welch. Printed in the Miami News Record ~ June 6, 2012
