Description	:	GLOUCESTER POINT — Robert M. Belvin, age 82, died Monday, May 21, 2001, at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Robert was a World War II survivor and recipient of the Bronze Star. In 1975, he retired from the Naval Weapons Station, Public Works Department, following 30 years of commitment. After retirement, his priorities became his church, fishing and the Coffee Club. Memberships included Bethany United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7791, Gloucester. Mr. Belvin was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar H. Belvin Sr. and Ruby Dunston Belvin. Belvin Jr. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethany United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Thomas G. Lee, the Rev. Linwood Daniel and the Rev. Bob Chapman. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family was at Hogg Funeral Home from 7 to 8, to receive friends and at other times at the home of Warren and Iva Belvin, 7583 Camp Okee Drive. In his memory, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, P.O.
