Description	:	Bob was born in rural Concord, NE on October 14, 1921 to George and Ethel (Elson) Juhlin. He attended grade school in Cedar and Dixon counties until 8th grade. He attended the Daily Church. Bob stayed at home to help farm when his brothers, Don and Dwight went to the service in the 40's. He moved to Newcastle in the 40's, where he trucked and shelled corn. He worked for George and Russ Hanson Implement until they closed. He then worked for Don Nelson in the repair shop until it was sold to Greg Rhode. He did repair work at... Read More	Bob was born in rural Concord, NE on October 14, 1921 to George and Ethel (Elson) Juhlin. He attended grade school in Cedar and Dixon counties until 8th grade. He attended the Daily Church. Bob stayed at home to help farm when his brothers, Don and Dwight went to the service in the 40's. He moved to Newcastle in the 40's, where he trucked and shelled corn. He worked for George and Russ Hanson Implement until they closed. He then worked for Don Nelson in the repair shop until it was sold to Greg Rhode. He did repair work at home as long as he was able. Bob married Geraldine "Gerry" Rahn on July 19, 1968 in Texas. He was a member of the Newcastle Fire and Rescue Dept. for seventy years. He was on the Rural Fire Board, was active in Community Club and Labor Day celebrations, and especially loved driving his tractor in the parade. He was also a Boy Scout Leader, was very proud of his town, and supported all events. He was very proud of his John Deere tractors. Bob enjoyed boating and teaching all the young people to ski. He loved hunting ducks, geese, deer and pheasants and also loved fishing. He loved to visit with everyone and was a great historian. He could remember every piece of machinery he sold, who he sold it to, the price, and where that customer lived. Survivors include his wife, Gerry of Newcastle, NE; one sister, Dorothy Lipp of Fremont, NE; sisters-in-law, Gladys Juhlin of Battle Creek, NE and Joanne Rahn of Allen, NE; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dwight, Don, Russell and Harold; and sisters, Ruth Trusty, Irma Bergerson and Rosalee Lerch.
