It was not thought it would prove fatal so soon. On Friday evening he attended commencement exercises at the Junction and got up Saturday morning feeling as well as usual. About 11 a. m. he was seized with convultions, dying at 4 in the afternoon without gaining consciousness. Robert O. Coulthard was born in the house he died in August 6, 1882, receiving his education in a country school until a few years ago, when he entered the Woodbine normal. This spring he accepted a position as bookkeeper in the State Saving bank, at Missouri Valley, but on account of his failing health resigned his position and went to Ephinany, S. D. to consult Father Kruger, and has consulted other physicians also. Funeral services were conducted at the M. E. church at 1 o’clock Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Mr. Campbell of the Baptist church at Missouri Valley and the pallbearers were his cousins.
