Read More	Robert Parden White was born to Jessie Mae and Robert Clark White in Oakland, Iowa. His father died sometime before 1940. From at least 1935 to 1940, Robert was living with his mother, brothers and sister-in-law on a farm in Valley Township, Pottawattamie County, Iowa. White, 14, brother The United States entered World War II on Dec. 7, 1941, when Pearl Harbor was bombed. On August 31, 1943, Robert Parden White, ruddy, brown-haired, blue-eyed, walked into an Iowa draft board office. He said he was self-employed, and that his mother, Jessie White, was his next of kin and would always know his address. The clerk noted that Robert was 5'6" and weighed 145 lbs. On Dec. 7, 1941, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army--then on Sept. 15, 1950 he re-enlisted in the Army, being honorably discharged Sept. 15, 1952. Robert Parden White passed away of natural causes on February 25, 1994.
