Olivet cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Linus Thelen, Vince Irlbeck, Leon Irlbeck, Arlo Jochims, Bruce Fuller and Lester Reisberg. Honorary bearers were fellow employees at Farner-Bocken Company. Military graveside honors were accorded by Maurice Dunn Post No. 7, American Legion. Surviving are his wife Gladys; a daughter Mrs. Bruce (Michelle) Kroeger, Wayne, Neb.; two grandchildren; a brother Richard Carver, Augusta, Ga.; three sisters: Mrs. Hugh (Lucille) McKeeyer, Iowa Park, Tex.; Mrs. Jack (Norma) Booth, Fort Dodge, IA; and Mrs. Joseph (Janet) Knobbe, Waukegan, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Donald and Arthur and a sister Ruth. Mr. Carver was born Aug. 13, 1921, at Carroll, a son of William and Clara Rettenmaier Carver. He attended Carroll public schools and graduated from Carroll High School. He began working for Farner-Bocken Company in 1939. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. On July 1, 1948, he was married to Gladys Fessler at St. Joseph church by the late Msgr. P.T. Lynch. He was a member of St. Lawrence church, Charles Carroll Council, Knights of Columbus, and was active in the city and K. of C. Bowling Associations. The family lives at 1731 Quint Avenue.
