Description	:	Robert R. Brunner, 87, a longtime resident of East Wenatchee, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, in Highline Care Center following an extended illness. He was born Aug. 21, 1914 to Richard L. and Elsie (Swotzer) Brunner at Vancouver, B.C., Canada. He was raised and educated in Wenatchee and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1933. Brunner, 87, a longtime resident of East Wenatchee, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, in Highline Care Center following an extended illness. He was born Aug. 21, 1914 to Richard L. and Elsie (Swotzer) Brunner at Vancouver, B.C., Canada. He was raised and educated in Wenatchee and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1933. Following his schooling, he worked in the painting and construction business with his father. He married Doris E. Johnson on Dec. 1, 1937 at Alliance, NE and they made their home in East Wenatchee. He served in the Washington National Guard during W.W. II. In 1944, Mr. Brunner purchased an apple orchard and became an orchardist. He had served on the Eastmont School Board for eight years and served on the board of directors for Grower's Credit Union for several years. Robert was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church, where he held various offices in the church. He also helped on the construction of the church. He loved to go boating with his family and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was the first person in the valley to begin developing and building adult family mobile home parks, where he most recently developed the Mt. View Mobile Estates. Robert is survived b his wife of the home; one daughter, Carol Falk of East Wenatchee; four sons, Larry and his wife, Ozella of Concrete; Robert and his wife, Florence of East Wenatchee; Richard P. and his wife, Molly of Almira; Walter J. and his wife, Lisa of Kennewick; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002 at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Mick Marquardt and Pastor Elmer Haight officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Friday from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
