Description	:	Robert R. Flockhart, age 88, of Stanwood, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at Clarence Nursing Home in Clarence. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice. Robert Ray Flockhart was born May 10, 1928, to Roy and Leah (Sproston) Flockhart in Anamosa. He married Darlene Coppess on January 28, 1946 in Stanwood. He owned the family Drive Inn Resturaunt in Stanwood for many years and retired from the Iowa DOT after 19 years. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars and golfing with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; three sons, Robert E. (Marie) of Tipton, Rick (Cindy) of Stanwood, and Steven (Tami) of Cedar Rapids; four daughters, Marcia (Harry) Driscoll of Mechanicsville, Sandra Proesch of Cedar Rapids, Joyce (Robert) Simmermaker of Clarence, and Dianna (Dennis) Hodgden of Tipton; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grand-children; one brother, Keith (Jeri) Flockhart of Lisbon; one brother-in-law, Charles Bartunek; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Donald Flockhart, three sisters, Doris Kelley, Ruth Bartunek and Janet Wagner, one niece, two nephews, and two great-nieces.
