Robert Stanley Miller, eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Miller, died suddenly at his home, 617 South Hancock street, at 5:15 a.m. today. The attending physician said he was called at 4:30 a.m., and that the child was dying at that time. Robert Stanley Miller, eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Miller, died suddenly at his home, 617 South Hancock street, at 5:15 a.m. today. The attending physician said he was called at 4:30 a.m., and that the child was dying at that time. He said the cause of death could not be immediately determined, but added that it was probably an acute upper respiratory condition. He said there were no gross evidences of either poliomyelitis or encephalitis. The child had been suffering from a progressively more serious "cold" for several days. Robert was a pupil at the Agassiz school, in the second grade. He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Juanita and Evelyn; three brothers, Harold, Billy and Herman Jr., all at home; his grandmother, Mrs. Alma Miller, Ottumwa; and his great-grandmother, Mrs. Mary Carter of Douds. Short services will be held Thursday from the residence at 3 p.m. and at 3:30 p.m. from the Pentecostal church. The Rev. A.D. McClure will be in charge. Burial will be in the Memorial Lawn cemetery. The casket will be taken to the residence from the Johnson funeral home at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
