Description	:	Robert Strickler Graves Jr., an orchardist and businessman, died Monday. He was 68. Mr. Graves, a native of Cleveland, was an Air Force veteran and graduated in 1946 from Virginia Tech. He then joined the family farming and orchard business in Madison County. Mr. Graves was a former president of the Virginia State Apple Board and served terms on the Virginia State Apple Commission. Read More	Robert Strickler Graves Jr., an orchardist and businessman, died Monday. He was 68. Mr. Graves, a native of Cleveland, was an Air Force veteran and graduated in 1946 from Virginia Tech. He then joined the family farming and orchard business in Madison County. Mr. Graves was a former president of the Virginia State Apple Board and served terms on the Virginia State Apple Commission. He was a member of the Virginia State Horticultural Society and served two terms as president of the Shen-Valley Meat Packers Board. Mr. Graves was a life member of Hebron Lutheran Church, where he was a trustee. He also served on the board of directors of Luther Crest Manor, a retirement home in New Market. Mr. Graves is survived by his wife, Kennon Smith Graves; a brother, Richard R. Graves; and, a daughter, Anne Graves Foster.
