Description	:	Robert T. Weaver, 89, of Grinnell, formerly of Gilman, died on November 21, 2007, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell. Bob, the son of Talamon Scott and Pearl Roseland Weaver, was born on April 6, 1918, in Gilman. He was a graduate of Gilman High School and attended Iowa State University for two years. Weaver, 89, of Grinnell, formerly of Gilman, died on November 21, 2007, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell. Bob, the son of Talamon Scott and Pearl Roseland Weaver, was born on April 6, 1918, in Gilman. He was a graduate of Gilman High School and attended Iowa State University for two years. He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper during World War II. On June 24, 1941, he married Genevieve Carey in Gilman. He farmed with his brother, Arthur for 46 years near Gilman, retiring in 1985. The couple later moved to Seeland Park in Grinnell. He was a member of the Gilman U.C.C., the Farm Bureau, and the Gilman Lions Club. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, riding horses, hunting, and fishing, and was a world traveler. Survivors include two children, Tom (Tasha) Weaver of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Susan (Allen) Pinette of West Hartford, Connecticut; one sister, Darlene Spencer of San Antonio, Texas; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Grasso of Berlin, Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, in 1997; one sister, Doris Fisk; and two brothers, Art and Richard Weaver.
