He was employed for 15 years with the St. Mary's County Public Works Department until his retirement on October 31, 2003. He was an active member of the Seventh District Volunteer Rescue Squad and was formerly a member of the Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad. He loved Country and Bluegrass music and played the guitar. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 10:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD with Msgr. John B. Brady officiating and Deacon George L'heureux co-officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers for Mr. Huntington will be Aaron Fenwick, Bobby Tessier, Billy Wood, Ryan Huntington, Dale Huntington, and Jerry Guy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Taylor Huntington, Olivia Huntington, Amy Fenwick and Members of the Seventh District Volunteer Rescue Squad. Contributions may be made to Seventh District Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 7, Avenue, MD 20609.
