Description	:	Robert Wilhelm Ludwig Kettelhut, son of John Kettelhut and his wife Johanna was born Sept. 8, 1866 in Branheide, Germany and was baptized Sept. 17 the same year in tre (sic) Lutheran Church. His parents emmigrated (sic) from Germany to America as Robert was two years old. He lived with his parents in Lancaster County, where he grew to manhood. On the 20tr (sic) of Oct. 1891 he married Miss Eda Wenzel at Nebraska City and in 1906 was received by confirmation at the agle (sic) Lutheran Church as a member. They lived on a farm near Deshler... They lived on a farm near Deshler until the death of his wife, who passed away the 21st of Nov. 1932. Ofter (sic) rer (sic) passing he made his home by his son Walter and in 1949 moved with his son to farm near Hubbell. There he remained until his death, the 26th of Dec. After a few days illness he illness (NOTE: typed as written in newspaper) he suddenly passed away and brought the length of his earthly journy (sic) too (sic) 86 days,3 months and 18 days. The oldest daughter as well as his wife preceeded him in death. Mourning his passing are: his ten children: Albert of Hardy, Louis of Riverbank, Calif., Edward of Clarksville, Arkansas, Clara Abelbeck of Chester, Emma Renz of Hardy, Walter of Hubbell, George of Byron, Dora Deeke of Hubbell, Leonhard of Hastings and Ida Schutte of Goodland, Ks. His 45 grand children, 24 great grandchildren, one brother, Christ Kettelhut of Palmyra, Nebr., one sister, Eda Witt of Syracuse, Nebr., and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services at the home of Walter Kettelhut at 1 p.m. and at St. John's Lutheran Church, Byron at 2 p.m. Interniment (sic) at St. John's Cemetary (sic).
