Celebration of Life Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Powers Funeral Home junction of highway 34 and 25 in Creston. Pastor Dwayne Henrichs will officiate. Burial will be at Lorimor Cemetery, south of Lorimor. Open visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Roberta Ann Justice, daughter of Marie Elizabeth (Neisemier) and Rasmus Fredrick Hansen was born March 23, 1931 in Thayer, Ia. Roberta graduated from Thayer High School in 1949. On November 20, 1949, Roberta was united in marriage to Herbert Glenn Justice at the United Methodist Church in Thayer. They first lived in and around Thayer. Roberta was a homemaker. Moving to Creston in 1965, Roberta worked at the Union County Farm cooking, cleaning, and helping people with personal care for four years. She went on to work at Farm and Home, then later at SWCC in the consolidated food program. Roberta most recently worked at Hy-Vee presenting food demos and assisting in the Garden Center. Roberta loved to work with ceramics and quilting. Roberta was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Creston. Roberta is survived by her husband, Herbert, a son, Stephen (wife Rhonda) Justice of LeMars, Ia.; a daughter, Sharon (husband Doug) Rather of Santa Fe, N.M.; four grandchildren, Curtis (wife Alison) Justice of Sioux City, Kari (husband Matt) Jansen of Waverly, Jason Kinkade of Tulsa, Okla. and Amy Kinkade of Tulsa, Okla.; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Jeffrey Kinkade in 1991, two sisters, Agnes McDowell and Pauline Crowell, and two brothers, Clayton and Fredrick Hansen.
