Description	:	Roberta Joyce Boeshart, 79, formerly of South Sioux City, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017, in Excelsior, Minn. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Morningside Lutheran Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Paul Andell officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery, rural Allen, Neb. Visitation with family present will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a prayer/Eastern Star service at 7 p.m., at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Joyce was born on July 2, 1937, in rural Allen, Neb., the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Money) Fegley. She graduated from Dixon High School in 1955. She attended Wayne State College and received a two-year teaching certificate. Joyce then continued teaching at various school districts around South Sioux City, including the Winnebago school district. Joyce married Frank Boeshart, her high school sweetheart, in the middle of a snowstorm in Pierre, S.D., on Jan. 2, 1960. The couple settled in South Sioux City, and raised three children. While raising her family, she continued her education at Wayne State College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Education Degree in 1973. After 38 years of teaching, she retired and moved with her husband to Mountain Home, Ark. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, bird watching, and singing in numerous choirs. She was a member of the Laura Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and participated greatly in P.E.O., the Philanthropic Educational Organization of Nebraska. Survivors include children, Mary Farlow of Waconia, Minn., Frank (Susan) Boeshart of Apple Valley, Minn., and Greg (Alicia) Boeshart of Allen, Neb.; nine grandchildren; sister and best friend, Janet (Jim) Kirchner of South Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Boeshart; parents, Arthur and Mary Fegley; brothers, James Fegley and Keith Fegley; and sisters, Betty Albers and Ruth Sellin.
