Born June 23, 1941, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Roby M. and Floye Parker Hodge. He retired as an operator for National Starch and Chemical Co. of Salisbury. He was also the owner of Hodge Farms and Feed Mill and developed Rancher's Pride Feeds. ULLA - Robie Roger Hodge, 66, of NC Hwy 801, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at his residence. Born June 23, 1941, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Roby M. and Floye Parker Hodge. He retired as an operator for National Starch and Chemical Co. of Salisbury. He was also the owner of Hodge Farms and Feed Mill and developed Rancher's Pride Feeds. He was a longtime member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and was chairman of the Cemetery Memorial Fund. He also was a member of the Scotch Ireland Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ruth Karriker Hodge; children, Robert C. Hodge and wife, Laura, Joe T. Hodge and wife, Teyah, and Ann Ridenhour and husband, Jimmy, all of Mt. Ulla; sisters, Betty Click and husband, C.D., of Cleveland, and Margie Dudley and husband, Walter, of Woodleaf; and grandchildren, Grace and Claire Hodge. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Monday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church from 6-8 p.m. Services: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Burial: Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials: Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church Cemetery Memorial Fund, 11020 NC Hwy 801, Mt. Ulla, NC 28125.
