The Keosauqua fire department went to the farm, but was unable to revive Cochran. Mr. Cochran was the son of John and Edna Wolfe Cochran, and was born Jan. 20, 1946. He was graduated from the Van Buren Community high school in 1964 and, on Aug. 28 of that year was married to Celia Rice. Besides his parents and wife, he is survive by four brothers and a sister, all at home; his maternal grandfather, William Wolfe of Mt. Sterling, and his maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Olive Wolfe, also of Mt. Sterling. Cochran was employed at Iowa Malleable Iron Co. of Fairfield. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 14 at the Mt. Sterling Methodist church, the Rev. Robert E. Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Harness cemetery. Source: Van Buren Co.
