Description	:	Rodney "Rod" Willis Heath passed away December 29, 2007, at the Cashmere Convalescent Center. He was born at Twisp, January 24, 1933, to Willis and Ella (Cumbo) Heath. He attended Twisp Public School and shortly thereafter, was drafted into the U.S. Army and sent to Korea. There, he served in the infantry and as a Sergeant in a heavy artillery unit during the Korean War. Rod spent most of his working career in agriculture, mostly in Okanogan County, WA, but also in Idaho and California. He was born at Twisp, January 24, 1933, to Willis and Ella (Cumbo) Heath. He attended Twisp Public School and shortly thereafter, was drafted into the U.S. Army and sent to Korea. An avid fisherman, the words, "let's go fishing," could change his schedule in a heartbeat! He was a gentle man with a good sense of humor, honest, generous and loyal to all who knew him. Rod is survived by two daughters, Robin (Roberta Lynn) Norman of Blythe, CA and Ella Ralston of Everett, WA. He is also survived by three sisters, Alta (La Vern) Conner of Quincy, WA, Doris Schaadt of Santa Clara, CA and Roberta (Mike) Larson of Chelan, WA; and three brothers, Douglas (Sharon) of Nampa, ID, Lyle "Jack" (Mary) of Methow, WA and Carl (Di Ann) of East Wenatchee, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Howard, Gail and most recently, Vern, who died on December 1, 2007. A Memorial at Twisp will be scheduled and posted at a later date. Arrangements are assisted by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
