Corrie Services were Wednesday (today) for Roger Corrie, 80, of Ida Grove, at the Christensen-Huffman Funeral Home in Ida Grove. The Rev. Marvin Lindley officiated, with burial in the Ida Grove Cemetery, under the direction of the Christensen-Huffman Funeral Home in Ida Grove Mr. Corrie died June 2, 2002 at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove. He was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Ida Grove, the son of Homer and Ruth (Peek) Corrie. He was a retired farmer and enjoyed hunting and fishing until a stroke 27 years ago confined him to a wheelchair. He married Madelyn Hodoway on July 18, 1943, in Reno, Nev. She died Feb. 25, 2002. Survivors include a daughter, Lana Hoey of Decatur, Ill.; two granddaughters and their husbands, Becky and Fred Woltz and Amy and T.J. Barber, all of Decatur; a grandson, Daniel Hoey of Decatur; two great-grandchildren, Jessica Scroggins and Christian Barber, both of Decatur; a brother-in-law and his wife, Robert and Marian Hodoway of Hawarden, Iowa; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Helene and Jerry Maurer of Long Island, N.Y. He also was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gordon Corrie; a son-in-law, Carl Hoey; and a granddaughter, Marie Lynn. -------------------------
