Miner was born June 15, 1929 in Spencer, the son of Walter and Lola (Jordan) Mincer. He was raised and educated in Clay County, attending Spencer country schools He married Ann Dwinger on January 17, 1949 in Jackson, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Fostoria, where they raised their family. He worked at the Fostoria Co-op Elevator, Spencer Foods and Farmland Foods. They moved to Milford in 1998 Mr. Mincer was a member of Good News Community Church in Okoboji He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren and a son in law Survivors include his wife; sons; Jim and his wife, Kathi of Dumas, Texas, Steve and his wife Beth of Omaha, Nebraska, Kevin of Spirit Lake and Jeff and his wife, Cindy of Milford; daughters, Tia Hofmeyer of Spirit Lake, Glenda Simpson and her husband, Sid of Kansas City, Missouri and Patty Poss and her husband, Craig of Milford; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends Spencer Daily Reporter, December 17, 2002 Obituary contributed by Sharon Hesebeck #47825781
