Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church, with Rev. Howard Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Roger Keith Jaycox, son of Tracy and Wempkie Olthoff Jaycox, was born September 1, 1928 at Webster City. He received his education at the Kamrar Public School, graduating in 1945. He worked with his father at the Standard Service Station at Kamrar and started construction work with A.L. Smith. On July 17, 1949 he married Dona Maria Severson at Webster City. The couple resided at Kamrar, later moving to Treasure Acres Angus Farm east of Webster City. They moved to Webster City in 1959. He was partner in Hefty and Jaycox Construction. In 1963, he started Jaycox Construction and was in operation with his sons, Lynn and Rod. He retired in 1990 but continued part time as long as his health permitted. Roger is survived by his wife, Dona, sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Debbie Jaycox, Rod and Sue Jaycox, all of Webster City; grandchildren, Scott and Julie Jaycox of Duncombe, Sara and Tyler Abens, Kari and Jamie Pruismann, Tracy and Brandon Bahrenfuss, all of Webster City; great-grandchildren, Cooper and Maia Jaycox, Jayce Abens and Kamryn Pruismann; brother, Richard Jaycox of Ft. Myers, FL; brother-in-law, Norman Neilson of Bonita Springs, FL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marian Neilson; sister-in-law, Jean Jaycox. He was a member of the First Congregational-U.C.C. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
