His entire lifetime had been spent in the vicinity of Hordville. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Parochial School through the eighth grade and then Hordville High School. He had been active in school projects and in athletics. Roger was a graduate in the Class of 1970. He had completed two years of study in the University of Nebraska. On April 27, 1952 he was baptized in the Lutheran faith in Immanuel Lutheran Church and was confirmed in that church on March 20, 1966. He was active in youth work of the church while residing at home. He is survived by his parents of Hordville; two brothers, Lavern of Omaha and Lyle at home; Three sisters, Karen of Omaha, Mrs. Phyllis Senff of St. Edward, and Diane at home; a brother-in-law Steve Senff; three grandparents Mrs. Lydia Blase, who resides in Hamilton Manor in Aurora and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wilshusen of Hordville and many other close relatives and friends.
