Mr. Borman was born Oct. 26, 1916 in Guttenberg, a son of August and Amanda (Duwe) Borman. He was married Aug. 11, 1946 at St. Paul Church to Corrine Biederman, who survives. He had been employed at Galaxy Homes in Dyersville and for the City of Guttenberg as a dispatcher until he retired in 1984. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. For the past three years he resided at the Guttenberg Care Center. Surviving besides his wife, Corrine, are two sons, Jerry J. of West Dundee, Ill., and Donald "Butch" of Guttenberg; three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Joan) Niichel of Granville, Mrs. Carl (Carol) Wall of San Clemente, Calif., and Mrs. Don (Su Ann) Hansel Jr. of Guttenberg; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Maxine.
