Description	:	Roland R. White, 88, of Lincoln died Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Roland was born May 11, 1922, at Shelby to Walter and Mildred (Chase) White. Survivors are: daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and William Parrott of Raymond; sons and daughters-in-law: Richard and Dalene White of Sioux City, Iowa, Rodney and Teresa White of Giltner; stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Bill and Jan Pace, Walkersville, Md., Bob and Kathy Pace of Tujunga, Calif.; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Doris White of Shelby and a host of friends and relatives. Roland was born May 11, 1922, at Shelby to Walter and Mildred (Chase) White. He began his career with Coops at the Shelby Coop Grain Elevator in 1946, and was manager from 1953-1965. He retired in 1984, as General Manager from Aurora Coop Grain Elevator. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a former resident of Eustis, Fla. and a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge, Eustis, Fla., Aurora American Legion Post, Hamilton County VFW Post 4993, Aurora, former board member of Farmland Industries 1968-1977, inducted into the Nebraska Cooperative Council Hall of Fame 1999, recipient of the Mapmaker award from the Aurora Chamber of Commerce 1970, Boss of the Year award from the Aurora Jaycees 1978, recipient of the Dreyer award for Outstanding Management 1979. ublished in The Grand Island Independent on 7/30/2010
