Ronald Arthur Streck was born October 14, 1937, at on the family farm south of Ida Grove, the son of Walter and Helen (Ernst) Streck. He grew up and was educated at a nearby country school. He served his country in the Army National Guard being honorably discharged in 1978. He farmed with his dad south of Ida Grove and later drove truck out of Mapleton, Iowa. The family lived on the farm south of Ida Grove until 1973, before moving to Holstein. Ron worked at Lundell in Cherokee. He retired after working at Midwest Industries in Ida Grove Ron was an avid bowler, helping his team win many tournaments and trophies. He especially loved his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his four children, Terrie (Ernie) Barnwell of Orange, Texas, Shari (Robert) Honaker of Humble, Texas, Susan (Paul) Phillips of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kevin (Alison) Streck of Omaha, Nebraska; 9 grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Jean (Jerome) Baker; one niece; three nephews; and other extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents. Walter and Helen Streck.
