Description	:	Ronald grew up on farms in the Collins Willow Creek and Rhodes areas. He graduated from Rhodes HIgh School in 1930. He and his wife Gerry made their home in Rhodes where Ronald was employed as janitor of the Rhodes school until 1939. They moved to Milford Township, north of Nevada, IA in 1939, where he worked as janitor of the Milford school. In 1942 they moved to Collins, where he worked at the Ankeny Ordinance Plant and later as a carpenter in the Collins community. He graduated from Rhodes HIgh School in 1930. He and his wife Gerry made their home in Rhodes where Ronald was employed as janitor of the Rhodes school until 1939. They moved to Milford Township, north of Nevada, IA in 1939, where he worked as janitor of the Milford school. In 1942 they moved to Collins, where he worked at the Ankeny Ordinance Plant and later as a carpenter in the Collins community. In 1945, they returned to Rhodes where Ronald went into partnership with his father, Maynard, in the Good Feed Store, where he remained for twenty years. In 1964, Ronald became employed at Fisher Controls in Marshalltown, as a maintenance plumber from which he retired. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, Marshall Masonic Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and the United Auto Workers.
