Description	:	Ronn Steven Zurcher, son of Charles and Joan (Lang) Zurcher, was born June 10, 1951, at Tilden Community Hospital in Tilden, Nebraska. Ronn died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at his home. Ronn lived south of Tilden until age eight, and the family then moved north of Meadow Grove. Ronn lived south of Tilden until age eight, and the family then moved north of Meadow Grove. He attended Kindergarten and First Grade at District 88-Closter, Second and Third Grade at Morning Star School, Fourth through Eighth Grade at District 77-Pleasant Hill, and graduated from Elkhorn Valley High School at Tilden in 1969. Following high school, Ronn attended Midland College for two years, and graduated with an agriculture degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After college, he returned home to farm and sell Pioneer Seed. On March 1, 1975, Ronn was married to Lynn Tegeler at St. John's Lutheran Church in Battle Creek. The couple was blessed with four children: Sherry, Katie, Laurel, and Erinn. Ronn was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilden, where he was a church trustee, and also served on the the Elkhorn Valley School Board for 14 years. Ronn coached youth basketball and softball; was a basketball referee for many years; and enjoyed playing softball, basketball, and golf. Ronn is survived by: wife, Lynn Zurcher; daughters, Sherry (Eric) Lawson of Tilden, Nebraska, Katie (Derek) Eggers of Table Rock, Nebraska, Laurel (Matt) Wilken of Tilden, Nebraska, and Erinn Zurcher of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Aubree and Brenna Lawson, Ayla Eggers, and Kellan Wilken; parents, Charles and Joan Zurcher of Tilden, Nebraska; sisters, Ann (Sam) Simmons of Oakdale, Nebraska, Pam (Jan) Robertson of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Lori (Mike) Herbolshiemer of Tilden, Nebraska; brothers-in-law, Larry (Linda) Tegeler Meadow Grove, Nebraska, and John (Jane) Tegeler of Meadow Grove, Nebraska; and sister-in-law, Jane (Pat) Sullivan of Lakin, Kansas. Ronn was preceded in death by: grandparents, Fred and Mable Lang and Gideon and Aurel Zurcher, all of Tilden; and nephew, Brian Tegeler of Meadow Grove. Burial was in the Tilden City Cemetery, Tilden, NE.
