Description	:	Rosa E.L. Wurdeman, 98, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Morys Haven Nursing Home in Columbus. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Creston with Rev. Doug Zurek officiating. Interment will be in the Creston Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. Wurdeman, 98, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Morys Haven Nursing Home in Columbus. Wurdeman was born February 20, 1916, in Platte County, Nebraska, to Max and Anna (Muth) Schmidt. She attended District #77 and St. John's Lutheran Grade School, rural Creston, Nebraska. On February 18, 1941, Rosa was united in marriage to Raymond Wurdeman at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Leigh. In 1948 they moved to Creston. Rosa worked at Dale Electronics from 1956 until her retirement in 1983. Raymond passed away on January 28, 1978. Rosa continued to live in Creston until May 2012 when she moved into Prairie Village in Columbus. In August, 2013, Rosa moved to Morys Haven. Rosa enjoyed gardening, playing cards, working crossword puzzles, going to the casinos with her friends and traveling, especially to her cabin at Lake Poinsett in South Dakota to fish. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Creston.
