She was born at Baden, Germany Aug. 27th, 1854 and came to this country when a girl of sixteen. She was married to Wm. H. Ewer about 40 years ago and to this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. They are: Albert of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. A. C. Ziegler of Albion, Mrs. Jas. Crawford of Petersburg and Henry of Cedar Rapids.
