Martin, who resides on the old O'Toole farm north of town, died [last] Friday morning in St. Mary's hospital in Emporia. Rosa L. SEELEY was born in Illinois January 18, 1869, and came to Lyon county with her parents when a small child. She was married to George W. Martin [on] July 25, 1888, in Neosho Rapids. SEELEY was born in Illinois January 18, 1869, and came to Lyon county with her parents when a small child. She was married to George W. Martin [on] July 25, 1888, in Neosho Rapids. To this union were born ten children, all of whom with the husband survive. They are Horace Martin of Renfrow, Okla.; Mrs. Hazel [Ralph J.] Martin of Emporia; Mrs. Zella Bollinger of Verona, Ills.; John Martin of Streeter, Ills.; and Fred, Jim, George, Rosa, Louise and Lucille Martin of Neosho Rapids. She is also survived by four grandchildren, three sisters and one brother and a host of relatives. Mrs. Martin was a loyal and true wife, a loving and sympathizing mother and a good neighbor. The funeral was held [last] Sunday afternoon and the services at the home and also at the Methodist Protestant church in Neosho Rapids were largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. John M. Cole, pastor of the Hartford Christian church, assisted by the pastor of the Protestant Methodist church at Neosho Rapids. Interment was made in the Mt. Hope cemetery.
