Belleville Telescope, September 20, 1962 ---------------------------------------- Mrs. Rosa May Magee, 67, a native of Republic County, Kans., passed away at the Thayer County Memorial Hospital at Hebron September 14, 1962. Rosa was confined to her home by sickness for a number of years. She became critically ill only a few days before death. Rosa May Magee, the daughter of James and Rachael Bieghler, was born September 22, 1894. She lived in the Chester area most of her life. Through the influence of Charles Cobbey, a minister of the Chester Church of Christ, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour and was immersed November 7, 1909. Her faith as it has endured through the times of trail will be a lasting witness in this community. She was united in marriage to Floyd Ivil Magee October 26, 1912, at Byron, Nebraska. They made their home in the Chester community. To this union were born two children, Glenn Ivil and Ruby May. Both children passed away a few weeks after birth. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Floyd Ivil Magee. Also a number of relatives and friends. "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth...that they may rest from their labors: and their works do follow them." (Rev. 1413). Funeral service was held Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Christian Church, Chester, with Rev. Paul Wickenkamp and Rev. L.A. Brumbaugh officiating. Singers were Mrs. Frieda Truss and Mrs. Jean Crouse accompanied by Mrs. Arlys Ballinger. Casket bearers were Roy Canfield, Joe Hunt, Kenneth Dake, Ed Richards, Adrian Dake and Claude Canning. Interment was made in the Chester cemetery (sic), Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Service in charge.
