Description	:	The death of Mrs. Art Burge was a great shock to her many friends and acquaintances. While they knew she had been very ill for sometime, and at one time was very low, her condition had improved and all expected her ultimate recovery. Some time ago she was taken to the hospital at Hastings where she remained several weeks, and surgeons there told her an operation would be necessary to insure her future health, and that the operation would be very hard to under go, with few chances of passing through it. She was too weak then... Read More	The death of Mrs. Art Burge was a great shock to her many friends and acquaintances. While they knew she had been very ill for sometime, and at one time was very low, her condition had improved and all expected her ultimate recovery. Some time ago she was taken to the hospital at Hastings where she remained several weeks, and surgeons there told her an operation would be necessary to insure her future health, and that the operation would be very hard to under go, with few chances of passing through it. She was too weak then to withstand it but when her condition improved Mrs. Burge insisted on having the operation performed so she was taken to the hospital again last week. The operation was performed and she seemed to withstand it good until after the third day, when she became worse and died in a few hours. Rosalia Maud Stewart was born in Mill county, Iowa, May 12, 1875 and died at Hastings June 7, 1908, age 33 years and 25 days. She came to Blue Hill with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. O.J. Stewart, in 1888 and was married to Arthur Burge Dec 5, 1894. She was converted at meetings held in the Harmony school house west of Bladen at the age of 17 and joined the United Brethren church from which she was transferred to the Methodist Episcopal church in Blue Hill in 1904. Just before passing away she sang one verse and the chorus of "We'll never say goodbye in Heaven," and left her husband, four children, Wesley, Hazel, Florence, and Lester, father, mother, seven sisters and three brothers are left to mourn her departure.
