Description	:	Rosalind M. McCready was born January 19, 1903 at Salina, Ks, the daughter of Swedish immigrant parents Gustav and Ida Sophia Olander Bergsten. She passed away Sunday, July 18, 1999 at the Ottawa County Health Center in Minneapolis, having reached the age of 96 years, 5 months and 21 days. On October 17, 1923 she was united in marriage to John C. McCready at Salina. They lived in the Vine Creek community until moving to Lamar in 1940. McCready was born January 19, 1903 at Salina, Ks, the daughter of Swedish immigrant parents Gustav and Ida Sophia Olander Bergsten. She passed away Sunday, July 18, 1999 at the Ottawa County Health Center in Minneapolis, having reached the age of 96 years, 5 months and 21 days. On October 17, 1923 she was united in marriage to John C. McCready at Salina. They lived in the Vine Creek community until moving to Lamar in 1940. The moved to a farm north of Bennington in 1958, living there until moving to Bennington in 1974. Her husband preceded her in death July 3, 1994. Rosalind was confirmed in the Swedish Mission Covenant Church in Salina, in the Swedish language. She was a member of the United Church of Bennington, United Women with a Misson, the Bennington Senior Center and was a former Extension Home Unit member Survivors include three sons, Frank (Jean) of Bennington, Max (Dean) of Osawatomie, Ks and Lyle (Marit) of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter Pauline (Kenneth) Smith of Mesa, Arizonia; a sister Alice Peterson of Mt. Vernon, Washington, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen and Robert Bergsten. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 22, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Church of Bennington.
