Description	:	Rosanna was the 2nd wife of Jacob. ---------------------- Rosanna Windle was one of ten children born to John Windle Sr. (1740-1815) and Mary Magdelen Windle of Tom's Brook, Shenandoah Co., Virginia. Her parents farmed land originally acquired by her grandfather Christopher Windle, who had purchased 400 acres of land near Tom's Brook in 1750, from Lord Fairfax, which was later divided among his children. Her grandmother on her father's side, Mary Catherine (Brumbach) Windle, was born in Germantown, Facquier County, Virginia in 1720 to Germanna settlers Melchior and Maria Elisabeth (Fischbach) Brumbach who were among the 42 original Germanna... Her grandmother on her father's side, Mary Catherine (Brumbach) Windle, was born in Germantown, Facquier County, Virginia in 1720 to Germanna settlers Melchior and Maria Elisabeth (Fischbach) Brumbach who were among the 42 original Germanna colonists that settled on the Rapidan River from Siegen, Germany in 1714. Her grandfather on her father's side, Christopher Windle, was born in Germany about 1709-1715 and emigrated to America about 1732. He and Mary Catherine Brumbach married in Virginia in 1737. Rosanna's grandmother lived until 1798 so Rosanna certainly knew her growing up, as almost the entire family lived in the same area near Tom's Brook. Rosanna's first husband Paul Wisman died in 1812. They had one child, Juliana. In 1820 she married Jacob Beard in Shenandoah Co. where their six children were born. In 1831 they moved to Ohio where Jacob died in 1839. (Contributor W.M.
