Description	:	ROSE ANNA HALL, 86, of Crisfield, and formerly of Marumsco and Cambridge, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield. Born in Crisfield November 22, 1923, she was a daughter of the late John Cole DeHaven and Irene Caroline Killman DeHaven. Her husband, Robert O. Hall, preceded her in death June 29, 1973. Read More	ROSE ANNA HALL, 86, of Crisfield, and formerly of Marumsco and Cambridge, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield. Born in Crisfield November 22, 1923, she was a daughter of the late John Cole DeHaven and Irene Caroline Killman DeHaven. Her husband, Robert O. Hall, preceded her in death June 29, 1973. Mrs. Hall was a retired nurse, working at Eastern Shore Hospital Center from 1966-1973, and volunteered at McCready Hospital and Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home from 1978-2007. She was a member of Somerset Free Methodist Church in Crisfield, and was an honorary member of the Eastern Shore Region Antique Automobile Club of America. She enjoyed volunteering, and especially sending cards to shut-ins and, on holidays, to every patient in the nursing home. She was also very well-known for the delicious cookies she baked for people from scratch. Though she had only one daughter, she had many people who called her “Mom” or “Mother”. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A loving and devoted mother, she is survived by her daughter, Peggy Zennora Hall Hess and her husband John G. Hess of Shelltown; and many special nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, George “Cookie” Cannon, Jackie DeHaven, Elizabeth Collins, Mary Collins, Rosamond Parks, Levener Ludlum, Irene Caroline Warwick, and Naomi Ruth Lee. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 2 PM at Somerset Free Methodist Church in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev. Samuel Horner will officiate. Interment will follow in Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Somerset Free Methodist Church, 26935 Holly Avenue, Crisfield, MD 21817 or Rehobeth Methodist Church, c/o Peggy Hess, 32210 Hess Road, Marion Station, MD 21838.
