Maguire, Mason City, will be deacon and Father Raymond S. Bohrer, Rockewell, sub-deacon. Mrs. Murphy died Friday in a Mason City hospital, where she had been a patient the last six years. She was born Nov. 11, 1882, at Rathkenny, County Meathe, Ireland, daughter of Patrick and Anne (Byrne) Reilly. She came to America as a small child with her family and attended school at Janesville, Wis. She was married to John Murphy, May 22, 1906, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Janesville. They lived in Minnesota from 1920 to 1925, when they moved to the Dougherty area. She had lived there since that time. Surviving are six sons, Walter Murphy, Dougherty; Father Joseph Murphy, Greene; Edward Murphy, Mason City; James Murphy, Dougherty; Francis Murphy, Mason City; and Vincent Murphy, Dougherty. Three daughters, Sister Mary Ellen, P.B.V.M., Dubuque; Mrs. Al (Mary) Merfeld, Dougherty; and Mrs. Clark (Mauriece) Dougherty, Dougherty; 30 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Tom and Jim Reilly, Janesville; and three sisters, Mrs. John (Kathryn) Prox, Mrs. Ed. (Agnes) Beggs; and Mrs. John (Mary) Cheesbro, all of Janesville, also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, May 18, 1935, and by four brothers. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Dougherty and the Altar Rosary Society of the church. Pallbearers selected are Tommy Reed, Francis Corrigan, Red McManus, E.G. Dougherty, Harold Weaver and Henry McGaheran. The parish Rosary was scheduled for 9 p.m. Saturday at the Hogan-McKee Colonial Chapel and at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Walter Murphy home in Dougherty. Visitation at the chapel has been scheduled from 4 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday and from 1 p.m. Sunday until the time of service at the Walter Murphy home in Dougherty. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty.
