From 1952 until the time of her husbands death on October 13, 1966, they owned and operated the Pioneer Ballroom in Silver Creek. From 1965 until 1980, Rose worked at Dale Electronics until retiring. In Columbus she was a member of St. Bonaventure Church. She loved bingo, dancing, and playing cards. She is survived by: Son Gene (Pat) Koza of Silver Creek, NE Daughter Joan (Jim) Peters of Columbus, NE Sister Verna Jarecki of Columbus, NE Sister-in-law Clara Kmiecik of Genoa, NE Sister-in-law Elsie Slattery of Lincoln, NE Eight Grandchildren Fourteen Great Grandchildren She is preceded in death by: Husband Henry John Koza Grandson Brian Peters Sisters Helen & Valaria Brothers Frank, Louis, Edwin, Joseph, Ben, & John --------------------------------- Thanks to contributor #48796369; KMIECIK - KOZA St. Lawrence Cathoic church in Silver Creek was the scene of a pretty wedding Wednesday morning, June 1 at nine-thirty when Miss Rose Kmiecik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kmiecik of Silver Creek and Henry Koza, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Koza of Fullerton were united in marriage by Fr. Leahy, the parish priest. They were led to the altar by Mr. and Mrs. James Stanczyk, bridesmaids being Miss Vernie Kmiecik and Miss Elsie Koza, and the groom was attended by Adolph Koza of St. Paul and Frank Kmiecik. The bride was dressed in white lace and wore a long flowing veil and carried a boquet of roses and white carnations. Bridesmaids were dressed in pink chiffon full length gowns and wore red carnations in their hair. The groom and his attendants wore suits of dark blue. Immediately after the ceremony the wedding party, numbering about seventy-five, gathered at the Kmiecik home where the wedding breakfast was served, the centerpiece of the table being a lovely wedding cake baked by Mrs. James Stanczyk, sister of the groom. Wedding festivities were the order of the day, the wedding party driving to Fullerton in the afternoon for the wedding picture and that evening a wedding dance was held at the Kula hall in Silver Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Koza will begin housekeeping at once on the James Stanczyk farm two miles north of Havens. Silver Creek Sand, June 3, 1938
