Deceased was born in St. John's, New Brunswick in 1828 and married Mr. Flury when quite young and was the mother of fourteen children, five of whom survive her. Deceased was born in St. John's, New Brunswick in 1828 and married Mr. Flury when quite young and was the mother of fourteen children, five of whom survive her. The husband passed to the other side about eight years ago. She has two sons residing here, Louis and Samuel, a daughter at Stewartville as mentioned, the residence of the others is not known to us. Mrs. Flury, we are told, was a good wife and mother walking in the paths of virtue and righteousness and doing her duty as she saw it at all times. The weary, care worn body is at rest and He who doath all things well has taken her spirit into the realms of bliss. The funeral was held in the Baptist church Tuesday conducted by the pastor Rev. W. L. Anderson. A feature of the service was a solo by Mrs. A. H. Shaffer entitled "Tell Mother I'll be There." It was a beautiful and appropriate song and was rendered in the best and most touching manner. The interment was in Graceland cemetery. One of the saddest duties that ever come to men and women is the burial of a mother. She who guided the infant steps, sympathized with all their little sorrows, kissed away the pain of the little hurts of childhood and in mature years counseled and helped all along the journey of life.
