She was born on July 4, 1962 in Leonardtown, MD to the late Benjamin Samuel Goddard and Mary Louise (Hewitt) Goddard. Rose met and married her first husband, Graham Irvin in 1980. Read More	Rose Marie Goldsborough July 4, 1962 - October 9, 2020 Rose Marie Goldsborough, 58, of Mechanicsville, MD departed this life on Friday, October 9, 2020 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. She was born on July 4, 1962 in Leonardtown, MD to the late Benjamin Samuel Goddard and Mary Louise (Hewitt) Goddard. Rose met and married her first husband, Graham Irvin in 1980. They were married until his untimely passing. When Rose met and fell in love with Thomas Edward Goldsborough in 1986, she knew immediately she found her forever love. Together they made a wonderful couple and shared 34 years of wedded bliss. Rose and Tom worked side-by-side in their construction company, TEG Custom Homes. He considered her the brains and him the brawn. Together they made a great team and loving partnership. You never saw one without the other. They would go out every evening for a drive or to pick-up dinner from their daughter, Leslie and spoil their grandson, Bricen. Rose knew how much Bricen enjoyed apples so she always made sure to stop by the Amish to get him some. She loved to hear all about his day and listen to his stories. Rose was a wonderful woman who always had a bright smile, a strong will and caring heart. She adored her family above all. She was an avid reader, but was never far from her iPad. When she wasn't checking her Facebook to check-in on family and friends, she enjoyed crossword puzzles. A woman with a heart of gold and sunny disposition, Rose struggled for many years with health issues, but she never let her spirit fail. You would always find her with a smile on her face and laughter in the air. She was a sassy woman with a back bone of steel. She prided herself on being a woman of strength and confidence. Family was everything to Rose and if you knew her, you were family. Rose cherished all of her relationships, especially the bonds she had with her grandchildren. She wanted to do nothing more than spoil them and hold them close. She kept in constant contact with her family via telephone. A great woman has made her way to heaven. She will be missed by many, but none as much as her family. Rose is survived by her husband, Thomas Edward Goldsborough of Mechanicsville, MD; daughters, Leslie Renee Montgomery (Steven) of Mechanicsville, MD and Jennifer Marie Butler (Chris) of Davidsonville, MD; step-children, Joyce Hill (Mickey) of Mechanicsville, MD, Diane Ritchie (John) of Orange, VA, Gerald Irvin (Joan) of VA, Stewart Irvin of NC and Craig Goldsborough (Barbara) of Great Mills, MD; and three (3) grandchildren; Bricen Riley Montgomery, Emmett Charles Butler, and Ophelia Grace Butler. She is also survived by her sisters, Josephine Ann Scully of Leonardtown, MD, Mary Louise McDaniel of Leonardtown, MD and Agnes Elizabeth Birch of Piney Point, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents, and first husband, Graham Irvin. The family will be having a Life Celebration on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Prayer Service will be officiated by Father Drew Royal at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD.
