Rosina married Johann Ludwig KRAUSE on the 5th of December 1852 in Tarutino, Akkerman, Bessarabia, South Russia. The couple was blessed with 14 children; Ferdinand, Ludwig, Maria, Carolina, Wilhelm, Justine, Christoph, Wilhelmine, Christoph, Andreas, Juliane, Louisa, Christina and Dorothea. Rosina married Johann Ludwig KRAUSE on the 5th of December 1852 in Tarutino, Akkerman, Bessarabia, South Russia. Rosina at the age of 68 with her husband Johann and their daughter, Louisa and Gottfried KALLIS's family, immigrated to America via the Port of Bremen, Germany on the 13th of March 1902 aboard the SS "Batavia" and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on the 1st of April 1902. Their final destination was recorded as Hanson County, South Dakota to join Gottfried KALLIS's younger brother, Andreas KALLIS. Rosina and her husband, Johann settled on Section 12, Township 134, Range 91, West of the 5th Meridian, in Hettinger County, North Dakota. After homesteading that ¼ section of property for a number of years, Rosina received a land patent for the same on the 18th of April 1912. As per the 1910 US Federal Census on the 25th of April Rosina Krause was recorded as a born in Russia 76 year old widowed retired farmer and mother of 4 living children. NOTE: The 12 days of Rosina (Hirschkorn) KRAUSE's birth date discrepancy can be attributed to the fact that the Russian Empire did NOT adopt the "Gregorian Calendar" until February 1918. Therefore, prior to this date by utilizing the "Julian Calendar" their entire populace was recording birth, death and marriage dates that were 10 to 13 calendar days behind the dates of what the majority of the world was recording!
