(transcribed by Judy Mayfield) Winfield Courier Winfield, Kansas Thursday, September 13, 1906 page 12 Obituary Rosina Markland was born Feb. 10, 1847, near Vevay, Switzerland county, Ind., and was married to George P. Muret, April 11, 1866 and died Sept. 3, 1906, aged 59 years 6 months and 24 days. She came to Kansas with her husband and family in Nov. 1884, and has lived near Hackney, Cowley county, Kansas ever since. She leaves her husband and eight children and three sisters and one brother to mourn her loss. Her children were all with her in her last moments as also her sister Esther Markland. Her children are Mrs. Zora Holland, Chandler, Okla.; Lenos G., Franklin N., Clyde W., and George Muret, all near Blackwell, O.T., and Ernest C., at home. She has lived a consistent Christian many years in the Baptist church at Hackney. (transcribed by Judy Mayfield)
