Description	:	Ross H Wing, 85, of Grand Island died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Wing was born Jan. 29, 1917, at Sartoria to Clarence and Mary (Jones) Wing. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Eileen; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Carol Wing and Russell and Diana Wing, all of Grand Island, and Randall and Barbara Wing of Omaha; Three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane Schutt, Roslyn and Greg Dunning of Tucson, Arizona, and Krysteen and Michael Hasselquist of Arizona City, Arizona; a brother, Ray Wing of Forbestown, California; and two sisters, Merle... Read More	Ross H Wing, 85, of Grand Island died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Wing was born Jan. 29, 1917, at Sartoria to Clarence and Mary (Jones) Wing. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Eileen; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Carol Wing and Russell and Diana Wing, all of Grand Island, and Randall and Barbara Wing of Omaha; Three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane Schutt, Roslyn and Greg Dunning of Tucson, Arizona, and Krysteen and Michael Hasselquist of Arizona City, Arizona; a brother, Ray Wing of Forbestown, California; and two sisters, Merle Cherry and Mary Alice Heapy, both of Litchfield. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Wing grew up in the Pleasant Valley area of Buffalo County. He attended school at the Pleasant Valley rural school and Litchfield High School. As a teen-ager, Ross accepted Christ as his savior and was always active in church. He helped establish several new congregations, one of which is Third City Christian Church. Mr. Wing was a veteran of World War II. Ross enjoyed several occupations, including land leveling, baker and scale service technician. In 1976, he founded Wing Scale Service of Grand Island that is now operated by two of his sons. When he retired in 1979, he and Eileen moved to Marana, Arizona, where they lived until October 2002. He was a member of Third City Christian Church, the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge.
