Description	:	Rossiter R. Chenoweth, who died at Montague, Montana, on July 4, was born at Delhi, Indiana November 16, 1853, the son of Dr. Richard and Lucy Chenoweth. He was left an orphan when three years of age and was reared to youth's estate by an uncle. He early engaged in the mercantile business, rising from clerk to proprietor. He was married to Ida McFarland at Rantoul, Ill., in 1880. Chenoweth, who died at Montague, Montana, on July 4, was born at Delhi, Indiana November 16, 1853, the son of Dr. Richard and Lucy Chenoweth. He was left an orphan when three years of age and was reared to youth's estate by an uncle. He early engaged in the mercantile business, rising from clerk to proprietor. He was married to Ida McFarland at Rantoul, Ill., in 1880. In 1883 they moved to Nebraska where Mr. Chenoweth opened a general merchandise store at Hubbell, in connection with his brother-in-law, Elmer W. McFarland. The firm moved to Ohiowa, Neb., in 1890 where Mr. Chenoweth continued in the mercantile business until 1907 and in the grain business until 1910. In 1911 he purchased a general mercantile business in Bruning and made his home there until failing health necessitated a change. He then went to Montana and engaged in wheat raising and was on his ranch at the time of his sudden death. Mr. Chenoweth leaves a wife and three children: Claude M. of Montague, Montana; Mrs. John F.
